MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. We are an uplifting ministry that focuses specifically on the needs of moms with children ages birth through five years. Hearts are united and encouraged through inspirational speakers, creative activities, and fellowship. We also give back to our community through two yearly service projects. In addition, we have opportunities for you to connect with moms outside of MOPS meetings, such as our monthly Moms Night Out or Summer Park Days.
Q: When are your MOPS meetings?
A: Mountainview MOPS meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from September through May at 9:15 am – 11:15 am. Registration is required to ensure adequate childcare space.
Q: What can I expect at a meeting?
A: At each MOPS meeting we have a full breakfast provided on a rotation basis by the moms in our group. A given meeting will have either an inspirational speaker on such topics as parenting the strong-willed child, organization skills for your life, or personal health and safety or a creative activity. Our activity time serves as a great opportunity to chat with your fellow moms while exploring your creative side. Activities we’ve done in the past include making homemade pizzas and naturally-fragranced body scrubs. Times like these help build deep and meaningful relationships while learning to be the best moms we can!
Q: Is childcare provided?
A: Yes! Childcare is included in your registration. We have five different classrooms staffed by adult ladies who care for and teach your child while you attend the MOPS meeting. Our childcare workers are background checked.
Q: I’m a working mom. Can I still join MOPS?
A: Of course! Urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms – all are welcome!
Q: How much does MOPS Cost?
A: Registration is currently $75 per semester. For around $10 a meeting you get quality childcare for two hours, an inspirational speaker or creative activity, a warm and cold breakfast spread, and lots of fellowship!
Q: How do I get connected?
A: Joelle Raper, one of our co-coordinators, is where you start. Email Joelle at mops@mtnvw.org or call and leave a voicemail at 303-471-9644 x46.
